A train engineer daydreams of Star Trek and an advanced human civilization among the stars but struggles to see himself in it.

As I explore the limits of colored markers in my work, I attempt to make a place for that engineer in his optimistic vision of the future. Today, many consider railroading an industry of the past, and yet it is still unmatched as a land hauler. I believe as man continues to push towards the next frontier, the train engineer will continue to be with us to help supply mankind’s endeavors.
